This painting is currently hung in the restaurant where it was inspired, The Little Geranium in La Cala. Steven Saunders is an award winning chef, well known for his TV work and books. His food and it’s presentation inspired Zamfir to create this work.
Zamfir says “I love Steven’s food, not only does it taste like nothing I’ve experienced before, it is also presented so beautifully. Each plate is like a work of art. I wanted to preserve that art in a painting. This piece is my interpretation of a Salmon dish by Steven. I’ve created a 3D effect with some artificial leaves, to give a sense of depth. I hope that you like my painting and will be able to visit the restaurant to see if for yourself whilst you enjoy the fine food”.
